We are pleased to announce a release of the Systems Biology Workbench 2.8.0, available from: http://sys-bio.org

This release is about improving performance and making it easier to simulate models. We have improved Roadrunners' performance and stability again (Including support for simultaneous discrete events!). It now correctly handles all SBML features except for delay differential equations and algebraic rules. Perhaps more significantly, we have updated the 'Simulation Tool' as the primary interface to run Simulation Experiments. The simulation tool now hosts a new plug-in architecture that allows new simulation experiments to be easily added. This is demonstrated by several new plug-ins such as the plug-in for SED-ML support, or the display of structural matrices. With this release all SBW components work with Windows 7. To accommodate Windows 7, JDesigner has been considerably upgraded with this release.

As always we appreciate any feedback from users send to: sbwteam@gmail.com
